New Details on Disney+ and its Original Programming

Disney Investor Day 2019 was last night, and the house of mouse decided to go big with news for its upcoming Disney+ streaming service. First off, Disney+ will launch on November 12th, with a price of $6.99 per month, or $69.99 annually, putting them in contention for the best value in streaming, right off the bat.

Secondly, Disney confirmed several Marvel Studios shows, including Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision (previously The Vision & Scarlet Witch), and Loki, as well as the What If? animated series. There was also confirmation that the first episode of What If? will feature Peggy Carter if she had become Captain America, though there’s no official word on Hayley Atwell reprising the role.

Additionally, it was also revealed that, thanks to the Fox merger, The Simpsons and National Geographic programming will be available for streaming exclusively on Disney+, bolstering an already hearty lineup.

Kingsman Prequel Rumored for 2020

Fox is officially in a mad dash to milk as much money as possible from its many franchises, as it is now being rumored that a Kingsman prequel starring Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson is in the works, set for an early 2019 production start date, with a 2020 release. The rumored title is Kingsman: The Great Game, with Matthew Vaughn to return to direct. Danny Boyle Out of Bond 25

Academy Award winning director, Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) has been in chair for Bond 25 since May, but it would seem that creative differences have lead to his departure. Said to be Daniel Craig’s last outing as the MI6 operative, the film was shooting for a December 2018 production start date, but with Boyle now out, that seems a bit ambitious.
