Nintendo Ends 3DS Production

Nintendo has officially ceased production on the New Nintendo 3DS in Japan. The official Japanese site for the smaller-sized New Nintendo 3DS clearly states in Japanese that “production has ended,” as the little box reads 生産終了 (seisan shuuryou). This applies to both the white, and black, as well as all Special Edition models of the New 3DS. However, fear not! The New Nintendo 3DS XL remains in full production, as it appears Nintendo has positioned the larger handheld to replace its smaller counterpart completely. Kirby’s Blowout Blast Launching in July

Nintendo has announced that Kirby’s Blowout Blast, the expanded version of the sub-game of Kirby: Planet Robobot will be hitting the 3DS eShop in less than a week. Players are tasked with absorbing enemies and launching blaster bullets across stages to wipe out even more enemies, which you can see in action in the above trailer. Metroid: Samus Returns Gets Legacy Edition in Europe

Be prepared to despair, and throw a fit, and be very disappointed with the world. While North America is getting a Collector’s Edition of Metroid: Samus Returns, Europe will be enjoying the spoils of this newly announced Legacy Edition. The version of the game includes the game, soundtrack, art-book, collector coin, morphball keychain, and a retro-inspired steelbook. Look at that steelbook! Atlus Announces Three JRPG’s for North America

Atlus has announced a barrage of Japanese RPG’s for fans of the genre on the Nintendo 3DS. Due out late 2017/early 2018—Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux will be hitting the handheld.

Pokemon Gold and Silver Coming to Nintendo eShop

It would seem Nintendo had one more Pokemon related surprise for us today, with the announcement that Pokémon Gold and Silver are both coming to the Nintendo eShop for 3DS and 2DS the same day that Pokkén releases, September 22nd. Like other Virtual Console Pokémon releases, players will be able to trade and battle wirelessly, as well as load their caught Pokémon to the Bank for other versions of the game.
