CBS All Access has shared the first trailer for Jordan Peele’s upcoming reboot of the classic horror anthology series, The Twilight Zone. While the trailer gives us little in the way of footage, we get to hear Peele’s hosting voice, which is fantastic and well suited to the role. We’ll see if this newest incarnation is able to keep up with the original, but with the talent backing it, expect good things to come.
The Twilight Zone debuts on CBS All Access on April 1st.
After rumors of Jordan Peele (Get Out) producing the new Twilight Zone revival for CBS All Access, many of us were hoping the acclaimed actor/director would take on hosting duties, as well. Now, CBS has made it official, as Jordan Peele takes the reins from the legendary Rod Serling, the original iconic voice of the horror anthology.
“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours,” Peele said in a statement, according to TV Line. “I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone.”
