Disney and Pixar have released the first full trailer for Toy Story 4 giving us our best look yet at the new film, and the adventure that Woody and friends find themselves in. In this installment, Woody attempts to convince Forky, a spork-turned-toy made by their new child, Bonnie, that he’s there to help Bonnie make happy memories. After being separated, the two have to find their way back, encountering friends, new and old, on the way.
Toy Story 4 looks set to be yet another huge film for Pixar, and could be one of the Summer’s biggest hits when it hits theaters on June 21st.
Disney and Pixar have followed us yesterday’s Toy Story 4 teaser trailer with a second, very meta clip introducing two more new characters, Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele), who are very excited about the first look at Toy Story 4, despite not knowing the film’s longtime quotes. We even get a bit of back-story for the new characters:
“Woody’s journey in Toy Story 4 includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
Disney and Pixar Studios have unveiled the first official teaser trailer for the long-awaited upcoming sequel, Toy Story 4. The sequel will see the cast of Toy Story 3 returning, now belonging to Bonnie, whom they were left with at the end of the previous film as Andy left for college.
Director Josh Cooley introduced the trailer as such, “Like most people, I assumed that ‘Toy Story 3’ was the end of the story. And it was the end of Woody’s story with Andy. But just like in life, every ending is a new beginning. Woody now being in a new room, with new toys, and a new kid, was something we have never seen before. The questions of what that would be like became the beginning of an entertaining story worth exploring.“
At this year’s D23 Expo Japan, Square Enix and Disney unveiled a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, that reveals a new Monsters Inc. themed world for the long-awaited game, as well as more from the worlds of Toy Story, and Tangled.
Kingdom Hearts III is expected to release sometime this year, with a final release date most likely announced at this year’s E3. You can hit the jump to listen to the new theme songs by Utada Hikaru, as well.
To say the road to Kingdom Hearts III has been long and bumpy would be quite the understatement. Our last main saga Kingdom Hearts title was Kingdom Hearts II in 2005, and since then we’ve been given a slew of spin-offs and remasters, now, we can put our fears to rest: Kingdom Hearts III is releasing in 2018.
There’s also a new trailer, seen above, that spotlights a brand new world: Toy Story! It’s the first Pixar world to be included in a Kingdom Hearts game, and it looks fantastic, with Sora and friends taking on Lego-like forms, fighting in toy stores, and even changing gameplay styles when they jump into mech-toys. It looks wonderful.
