Fortnite’s next big limited event will feature a Marvel crossover that will change the entire landscape of the game for a short time. Starting tomorrow, Thanos will be making an appearance in Fortnite. According to Entertainment Weekly, the mode will feature 100 players vying for the top spot, with an available Infinity Gauntlet weapon hidden on the map. The player that finds the Gauntlet will transform into Thanos, granting them some pretty superhuman abilities.
Currently, what those abilities are exactly remain under wraps, but expect some pretty ridiculous happenings as the biggest villain in cinematic history makes his presence felt across all media.
A new website is making the rounds asking a very simple question, with a very simple answer. If you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War yet, you may want to stop here! At the end of the film, Thanos snaps his fingers and erases half of all life in the Universe, and now you can stop wondering whether you would have survived.
DidThanosKill.Me is answering the question in a very minimalist way, and it’s worth checking out for the novelty. Good news: I was spared. Let me know in the comments if you survived, or not!
He’s got the whole world in his hands…
That song is given new meaning on the new Avengers: Infinity War IMAX Poster that was debuted this morning. Infinity War was filmed entirely on IMAX cameras, so the film is going to look spectacular on the massive screen, and it’s no surprise that Marvel is pushing it as such.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th worldwide, and is poised for a $230 million plus opening weekend domestically. Hit the jump for a look at the beautifully simple poster.

This was a beautiful end to a beautiful story arc. This is honestly one of the best ways to a story like this ending that I have ever seen. The thought that Thanos is so strong-willed and powerful that just the thought of never becoming his future self erases his self from existence. It was instantaneous… no drama, no waiting with baited breath. It was quick, and a solid ending for an fantastic story.
THAT. WAS. AWESOME. Call me gullible, but never in a million years would I have expected Ulysses Armstrong to take control of a newly created Brother Eye, and recreate OMAC. That was such an incredible reveal for the Rebirth introduction of OMAC. That absolutely blew my mind. I knew this story was going in some pretty great places, but the Colony is being destroyed from the inside before it even had a chance to get going, and that’s pretty great.
The return of the Darkstars! It’s been quite a while since the Darkstars were able to make an impact on the Green Lantern Corps, but their build-up, between this book and even the ending pages of Metal, has made them already a formible and intimidating enemy. The story of Tomar-Tu almost seems to have been tailor-made for this, as well… like this is what they’ve been working towards with him from the beginning of Rebirth.
Thus far, Sideways is the weakest of the New Age of Heroes books, with his story taking longer than the others to really kick into gear. On top of that, he also feels the most distant from the rest of the DC Universe, with all of his supporting cast being new to the world. Hopefully things change in the next issue or so, and it starts to ramp up a bit more.
A lot of good loose ends tied up here at the end of this arc, and the splash page with the entire Flash family running together legitimately gave me goosebumps. It’s build-up and satisfying moments like that, that make comic books worth it with these larger than life characters. Now, we’re inching closer to Flash War, and I can’t wait.
It’s been such a mystery to what end Darkseid has been trying to hard to reach Themyscira, but it was a bit of a let-down that his entire goal was to turn the Amazons into Parademons. It’s entirely possible there’s more to his plan here, but so far this isn’t quite what I expected. At least the fight between Diana and Darkseid was brutal as hell. That was perfect.

After years of building, we’ve finally seen the moment… the moment that Jane Foster became Thor, and changed not only Marvel as a whole, but the entire landscape of comics. It was just as satisfying as her entire run as the Mighty Thor has been. The moment where she took her helmet off was when I lost it, and started to tear up, unsure of what the future will hold for this wonderful Thor.
A tragic conclusion to yet another incredible arc for Tom King’s run on Batman. This Poison Ivy arc has been absolutely astounding, and the realization that Ivy’s motivation for it all was a lie from the beginning, a ruse perpetrated by Riddler to manipulate her emotionally during the War of Jokes and Riddles… that was some masterful writing.
Damage is just on the verge of becoming a great and interesting story, but thus far it’s still just on the edge. It’s a character we’ve seen a thousand times, but he’s mixing it up with Wonder Woman, and now with Batman. Throwing Batman into the mix is certain to spice things up a bit, and hopefully push it over the edge like his “New Age of Heroes” brethren.
I’m still so confused, but delighted by this book. There’s still a pretty heavy mystery happening here, but Neal Adams is so obsessed with writing such batshit dialogue that we’ve gotten almost no exposition on the actual happenings. Or perhaps we have, and I just haven’t pieced it together yet? It’s hard to say, but I will certainly keep reading, and hoping this makes a little more sense.
Naturally, the opposite of Doom is Fun, and Bizarro’s Legion of Fun is set to definitely be one of the funnest things in comics, right now. Changing the Earth to be round, and causing energy shifts. It was a nice touch that Superman is so experienced with the Bizarro World that he knew immediately what to do about Boyzarro, and how to speak with him and the rest of the Bizarro family. It went a long way to making him the seasoned veteran.
I love Batman in magical stories. He’s so out of his element, but he refuses to let it phase him. He’s convinced that magic is just science that we don’t yet understand, but he pushes himself to understand it. To manipulate it, and be able to control it in his own way. Thus far, the Wonder Woman aspects of this story have been lack luster, but the addition of Batman should definitely up the ante and make this story more fun and mysterious.
I’m not going to lie. I just caught up on Thanos and it is fabulous. Particularly this most recent arc with The Rider, and glorious time travel. There’s so much to love happening here that it can’t help but make one smile while reading it. These stories are always the best, and this one is no different. I’m just excited to see how it concludes, and worry that they won’t be able to get past the bar that they themselves have set.
Marvel Studios has shared the newest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War and it’s filled to the brim with action and character interaction that we’ve dreamed of for years. Iron Man and Star Lord, Captain America fighting Thanos, and Doctor Strange and Spider-Man… all moments in this one trailer, and it still manages to not spoil the plot, at all.
It’s an impressive trailer, and definitely one pushing the hype train forward in a big way for Avengers: Infinity War. Additionally, tickets are now on sale at all major online ticket retailers! Get them now, because they’re going fast!
While we can’t honestly expect Marvel to put the D23 Infinity War footage online, as it’s likely to show next weekend at SDCC, as well. Sony’s E3 conference went about as expected, but on the other hand, it also had some insane surprises that no one would have ever expect, but they are damn sure welcome. While the majority of the show were updates to titles shown at last year’s E3, we were also given a few new projects that have been in the pipeline. Quite secretly, I might add.
Sony was absolutely a mixed bag this year. When they delivered, they delivered, but their misses were some pretty heavy missteps as far as interest. Hit the jump to check out the full rundown of the show.
