After revealing the teaser trailer yesterday, Bethesda has given us our first look at gameplay for RAGE 2, and as expected it looks like a cocaine-fueled Mad Max simulator, and that’s definitely a good thing. Developed by Avalance Studios, we should learn more about RAGE 2 at this year’s E3. However, here’s an official synopsis for the game:
In RAGE 2, you’ll dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. The game brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world mayhem and id Software, gods of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage.
In the year 2185, humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule who remains with an iron fist. You are Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland. Robbed of your home and left for dead, you’ll tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling bloodthirsty gangs to find the tools and tech needed to take the fight to The Authority and crush their oppressive rule once and for all!
Electronic Arts has confirmed today that Bioware’s much-anticipated new Shooter-RPG, Anthem, has now pushed from its initial Fall 2018 release window to “2019.” The shooter is meant to compete with Bungie’s wildly successful Destiny, but as such, Bioware has dedicated its entire studio to developing the massive title.
At last year’s E3, Anthem was set to be a worldbeater with the hype surrounding its release reaching massive levels from its first gameplay trailers.
Inti Creates has released the first insane trailer for Gal*Gun 2, the much anticipated “Dating Shooter” that sees players attempt to shoot over 70 different schoolgirls to get them to fall in love with you. The trailer spotlights the newest weapon in the game, which was last seen in Gal*Gun VR, called the Demon Sweeper.
We could end up hearing more info on the game when Inti Creates hosts the game’s first broadcast on November 29th at 9:00pm JST. The event will be available over at YouTube, NicoNico Live, and Fresh!. Gal*Gun 2 releases in Japan on March 15th, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Blizzard has officially unveiled this year’s Overwatch Halloween Terror event, as expected, and it looks like it’s going to be just as fun as last year. The return of Junkenstein brings back the wonderfully fun Brawl PvE mode, as well as tons of new goodies.
The internet is already freaking out over Widowmaker’s new Dragon skin, as well as Zenyatta’s Cthulhu skin. The event starts today, and ends November 1st!
The already hotly-anticipated survival shooter from Square Enix, Left Alive, takes place in the same world as Front Mission, and after a “Day 1 Occurrence” takes place in an isolated village inside Russia, our protagonists are thrust into a situation in which survival is all that matters.
The game takes place between Front Mission 5 and Front Mission Evolved, but focuses on being a survival shooter rather than its more tactical predecessor. Hit the jump to take a look at some screenshots, and new concept art for the game.

It’s always a treat when Blizzard decides to break out their incredible animation crews, and put together some wonderful storytelling. Their animation is always so crisp and fluid. Movie-quality filmmaking from a team of video game animators, and proof that these guys know what they’re doing.
At GamesCom they decided to drop two new animations. One of them, is a musical number about a young girl that finds herself transported to Harth Stonebrew’s tavern for warmth, where she discovers the wonders of the whimsical card game and its denizens across Azaroth. The second is the long-awaited animation featuring Mei’s heart-breaking origin, that leads into the events of Overwatch. Hit the jump to check out both animations, and let us know your thoughts!

It looks like we’re getting that epic Splatoon 2 Nintendo Switch bundle after all! Nintendo has revealed it is a Walmart exclusive and will be available for $379.99 on September 8, 2017. The price increase is thanks to the included bonuses. The Joy-Cons in the Splatoon 2 Nintendo Switch bundle are lime green and pink, to match the colors used in the game. The bundle also includes a download code for Splatoon 2, as well as a themed carrying case.
While a bit late, it’s nice that we’re getting this bundle at all, as it looks great, and Splatoon 2 has gotten nothing but great reviews. Splatoon 2 is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
If you already know what Gal*Gun is, then this story won’t surprise you. Gal*Gun VR is now available on Steam for use with the HTC Vive. Gal*Gun is a popular Japanese rail shooter, that involves you, the protagonist, shooting a pheromone gun gifted to you by Cupid at various anime girls in an attempt to make them fall in love with you. It’s just as ridiculous as it sounds.
Now, the addition of VR adds an entirely new level of ridiculous, as in addition to the standard rail shooter VR experience, you can also move your head around in an attempt to look up their anime skirts, as well. Japan… you’re crazy. I love you.
After being teased since before the game’s release, Blizzard has finally revealed that Doomfist is coming to Overwatch. Doomfist is Akande Ogundimu. A cybernetic offense character whose hand cannon gauntlet knocks opponents down. Blizzard writes, “In addition to dealing ranged damage with his Hand Cannon, Doomfist can slam the ground, knock enemies into the air and off balance, or charge into the fray with his Rocket Punch. When facing a tightly packed group, Doomfist leaps out of view, then crashes down to earth with a spectacular Meteor Strike.”
Doomfist is considered a legendary villain in the world of Overwatch, and the ringleader behind much of the villainy in that world. He’s available for play now in the Overwatch Public Test Region.

Microsoft took the stage of E3, and blew its doors off, with numerous world premieres of blockbuster titles, a lineup of 42 games shown, with half being Xbox One and Windows PC exclusive, and the worldwide reveal of the Xbox One X. It was a massive show for the tech giant, and with a heavy focus on 4K Ultra HD as the future of the industry currently, they did their best to showcase beautiful visuals, and gorgeous looks at a varied library. My best moment is undoubtedly when Phil Spencer reveals to the crowded hall that original Xbox games will be making their way to the Xbox One with backwards compatibility.
This was, admittedly, one of the most exciting and surprise-filled keynotes that Microsoft has ever done, with a lot of great moments and fantastic looking games shown. Hit the jump for the full breakdown of the keynote with trailers for everything shown.
