Konami has announced a new Castlevania title, though it may not be the one you’re hoping for. Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is a new iOS side-scrolling brawler that supports up to 4 players. The game plays in real-time, with music and characters from past games, as well as a 4v4, and boss rush mode.

However, a letter sent to Genya Arikado spelt the end of that peaceful age. “The Grimoire has gone berserk. Count Dracula has been revived.” In order to confirm the message in the letter, Genya Arikado heads to the sender’s location…
There will be a Closed Beta happening soon, with registration open until the end of April over at the game’s main site.

Normally, I wouldn’t really post about this, as this game is a complete cash-grab and mockery of all that makes this series so memorable. But, it’s pretty damn hilarious. Konami has stated to Polygon that Metal Gear Survive has been “pushed back a few months” to allow for more polish on the game.
Metal Gear Survive was announced in 2016, and will have a mysterious single player mode, as well as multiplayer that will pit teams of players against zombie-like enemies. The game is set an alternate universe after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prequel to Phantom Pain.
