Sega has released the fifth and final episode of the wonderfully charming Sonic Mania Adventures, leading up to the release of Sonic Mania Plus. The final adventures sees Sonic and Tails, meeting up with newcomers Mighty and Ray to battle Eggman and Metal Sonic. Check out the first four episodes below.
Sega has released the fourth part of their fantastic Sonic Mania Adventures series, and this episode follows newcomer Ray The Flying Squirrel, as he searches for his best Mighty The Armadillo.

Against all odds, the cast of Paramount’s live-action Sonic The Hedgehog is filling out its cast, with the announcement of its female lead. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tika Sumpter (Ride Along) is joining James Marsden (Westworld) in the live-action/CGI hybrid flick.
Sonic the Hedgehog is directed by Academy Award winning director Jeff Fowler, and produced by Neal H. Moritz, and Tim Miller. Sonic The Hedgehog hits theaters on November 15th, 2019.
Sega has released the third episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, introducing us to Knuckles in the latest adventure. Previously we were introduced to Tails, and Sonic & Dr. Eggman.
Sonic Mania is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Sonic Mania Plus arrives on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in North America and Europe on July 17th, 2018.
Variety is reporting that James Marsden (X-Men, Superman Returns) has signed on to star in Paramount’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie. While Marsden won’t be voicing the blue hedgehog, he will be playing the human lead in the film, which was originally rumored to go to Paul Rudd.
Jeff Fowler (Gopher Broke), will direct with a script from Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street). 12 Deadly Days scribes Patrick Casey and Josh Miller submitted the first draft earlier this year. Tim Miller (Deadpool) is serving as executive producer, with the film set for a November 15th, 2019 release date.
To say the hype surrounding Sonic Mania has been considerable, would be quite the understatement. The game started as a fan-game, with a dedicated group of players coming together to take matters into their own hands, and create a true-to-form Sonic the Hedgehog game in the vein of the classics, using new and older content to craft intricate levels, with updated sprites.
However, SEGA got word of the project and it was quickly ordered a cease-and-desist. Except, it wasn’t. Instead, SEGA snatched up the developers and started working together with them, noticing a rare opportunity, and taking full advantage of of the situation to create a great game. Did it work out? SEGA has posted the Opening Movie for the upcoming and highly anticipated Sonic Mania, and it’s an unbelievable amount of fun for classic fans of the series. The 2D-animated piece is produced by comic book writer/artist Tyson Hesse and featuring killer music from Hyper Potions.

After a leak suggested that Sonic Mania, the classic-inspired Sonic the Hedgehog game would be released on August 15th, Sega has now officially confirmed it with the gameplay trailer above. Developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon, PagodaWest Games, and Sonic Team. Players can play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in single player, as well as multiplayer, thanks to cooperative and competitive modes.
Sonic Mania is the first of two Sonic games to be released this year, with Sonic Forces following this holiday season. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on August 15, 2017.
