Sherlock Holmes 3 Officially Announced

Both Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law may have their hands full with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but after they’ve finished there, they’ll be headed back to another familiar world. Warner Bros. has announced today that the long-awaited Sherlock Holmes 3 will finally make its way into theaters worldwide on December 25th, 2020. It still remains to be seen whether Guy Ritchie, who directed the first two, will return for the third film.

Unfortunately for the third film, that date is set a week after the release of James Cameron’s Avatar 2, so we’ll see how well things go for them.

Jude Law Cast as Mar-Vell in Captain Marvel

The cast of Marvel Entertainment’s much-anticipated Captain Marvel is slowly taking shape, and the studio is pulling no punches on big names for the film. Variety is reporting that Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes) has been cast as Kree hero, Mar-Vell, the alien responsible for giving Carol Danvers her powers.

This casting is terrific, but rumor has it that Keanu Reeves was offered the role, but turned it down. Perhaps it’s for the best.
