Gotenks Joins Dragonball FighterZ

Bandai Namco has unveiled the character trailer for fan-favorite fusion, Gotenks, the result of Goten and Trunks performing the fusion dance. We’re inching closer and closer to the much anticipated release of this incredible game, with more and more characters being added weekly.

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases in North America and Europe on January 26th, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

King of Fighters: Destiny Episode 16 Now Online

We’re getting closer and closer to the finale of SNK’s King of Fighters: Destiny anime on YouTube, with episode 16, titled “Final Round,” now online. This episode sees Terry Bogart and Geese Howard do battle to settle their differences once and for all.

Android 18 Joins Dragonball FighterZ

Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have shared the latest character introduction trailer for Dragonball FighterZ, giving us a solid look at Android 18 and her move-set, including some fantastic combo attacks with her brother, Android 17. The game is taking shape, as many characters have been introduced to this point, just a few short months before its release.

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases in North America and Europe on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It releases in Japan a little later on February 1.

Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis Joins Tekken 7

The world of fighting game development is starting to shift as more and more developers look to other, more established franchises to take their characters, giving us dream match after dream match of worlds colliding. Now, Bandai Namco has announced the inclusion of Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis Lucis Caelum in Spring 2018.

Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV enters the Tekken 7 ring! Wielding his signature Engine Blade, Noctis is ready to deal heavy hard-hitting blows as he takes on the likes of Yoshimitsu, Devil Jin, Jack 7, and the rest of the Tekken 7 fighters when he enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament in spring 2018!

Ninja Turtles Joining Injustice 2

WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have revealed the long-awaited Fighter Pack 3 DLC for Injustice 2, and it does not disappoint. The already revealed Atom, Ryan Choi, is spotlighted here, as well as the addition of The Enchantress. The big surprise? The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining the roster, as well.

A release date for Fighter Pack 3 was not announced, though Atom will be available in early access on December 12th. The addition of the Ninja Turtles, Atom and Enchantress will bring Injustice 2’s roster to a massive 41 playable characters.

HORI Making Fightstick for Dragonball FighterZ

Anticipation for the upcoming Dragonball FighterZ is reaching a fever pitch as the game is set to release in a few short months. Now, HORI has announced plans to release a branded fightstick for the game, available to PlayStation and PC players in Japan. Featuring artwork of Goku in his super saiyan blue form, this new joystick, which will retail for 20498¥ (approx. $180), looks to replicate the old Mad Catz layout and has toggle switches for things like turbo button support.

There is currently no release date outside of Japan, but let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed. The stick releases on February 1st, 2018, to coincide with the Japanese launch of the game.

King of Fighters: Destiny Episode 15

Dragonball FighterZ Overview Trailer

Bandai Namco has shared an incredible new overview trailer for the upcoming Dragonball FighterZ, that details the games online Fighter Lobby, as well as the story mode featuring the new, Akira Toriyama-designed character, Android 21.

In addition to that, the new trailer also reveals that the game is getting DLC in the form of background music from Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. Dragonball FighterZ releases in North America and Europe on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

King of Fighters: Destiny New Episodes

After our coverage of the awesome King of Fighters: Destiny had faltered, thanks in part to SNK’s release of episodes slowing down, we’re finally back on track. Things are heating up in newer episodes, with the King of Fighters tournament finally beginning.

Dragonball Fighter Z North American Release Date Confirmed

Bandai Namco has officially announced the North American release date for the highly anticipated fighting title, Dragonball Fighter Z. The game is set to release on January 26th, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Additionally, we also received info regarding the different digital versions of the game. First up is the FighterZ Edition that will sell for $94.99, and features the game as well as the FighterZ Pass with eight new characters. The Ultimate Edition will go for $109.99, and feature everything in the FighterZ Edition, plus a Music Pack with 11 songs from the anime, and a commentator pack.

BlazBlue CrossTag Battle Adds Chie

Arc System Works has revealed the next Persona character to join its massive line-up for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, releasing on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, sometime in 2018. The latest character? Fan-favorite, Chie, from Persona 4 Arena.

The line-up is already massive, with crossovers between 4 games. Noel Vermillion joins fellow BlazBlue characters Hazama, Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, and Rachel Alucard. Chie Satonaka joins Persona 4 Arena fighters Yu Narukami, and Yosuke Hanamura. While Under Night In-Birth gets representation with Hyde, Waldstein, and Lynne.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z Gets Release Date in Japan

Bandai Namco shared a few updates on Dragon Ball Fighter Z in the latest issue of V-Jump with a release date for Japan, as well as the reveal of two new characters: Nappa, and Captain Ginyu. V-Jump reveals that Nappa who can summon Saibamen and his Meteor special attack is Kapa, the mouth-energy-beam attack from the show.

The other new character is Captain Ginyu, who comes with the ability to call the members of The Ginyu Force. His Meteor special attack is Body Change, which, similarly to the show, allows him to swap bodies and health with opponents. Dragon Ball Fighter Z releases in Japan on February 1st, 2018, in Japan for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is expected to release in early 2018 in North America, and Europe.

Gohan Joins Dragon Ball Fighter Z

Bandai Namco has shared an epic, new character introduction trailer for Son Gohan in the highly-anticipated Dragon Ball Fighter Z that shows off new parts of his move-set while in his Cell Games form.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z releases in February 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Revealed

Capcom has announced Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, an updated version of the fighting game that includes new modes and the first two seasons of downloadable characters, on January 16th, 2018. The new edition of the popular fighting game will add Arcade Mode, Extra Battle Mode and new V-Trigger move. Capcom has also promised a new gallery mode with illustrations, and a completely re-designed user interface for the game.

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition will be priced at $39.99 on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Existing owners of Street Fighter 5 will get Arcade Edition’s new modes and UI improvements, but not its DLC characters.

Injustice 2 Introduces The Atom

WB Games and NetherRealm Studios has posted our first look at gameplay for The Atom in Injustice 2 in their second downloadable character pack. Raiden is available for download in the game, today.

This Atom in particular is Ryan Choi, one of the more fan-favorite, and currently acting Atom in the comic books. His biography for the game mentions a search for Ray Palmer, so it’s possible the good doctor will be available as a premium skin for the character.
