It’s been rumored that classic Spider-Man villain, The Chameleon, would be showing up in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and now it seems we’re a little closer to that confirmation. Deadline is reporting that Numan Acar (Homeland) has been added to the cast of the sequel, though no details on his role have been revealed, we know that he’ll be playing a character named Dmitri, which could signify his role as Dmitri Smerdyakov, a.k.a. The Chameleon.

This is still speculation, but given the that Acar can speak numerous languages, and the globe-trotting nature of the film, it could certainly be true.

Nick Fury Returning for Spider-Man: Far From Home?

fury

It would seem that Nick Fury has more to do after his return in Captain Marvel. Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed over on his Instagram that he’s in the United Kingdom, and that he’s making his return as Nick Fury. However, it looks like the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director will be rocking some facial hair, confirming this role likely won’t involve Captain Marvel, but instead the currently filming friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

How the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. will play into the story has yet to be seen, but seeing as Spider-Man: Far From Home is the first film after Avengers 4, meant to lead us into a new chapter of the MCU, it makes sense to see the man that started it all.
