Ewan McGregor Cast in Birds of Prey

As has been rumored for quite some time, multiple outlets are reporting that Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin) has been cast in the role of frequent Batman rogue, Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask. Black Mask is a frequent villain of the Dark Knight, having even been behind the murder of Stephanie Brown during her tenure as Robin.

McGregor joins a cast that includes Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollet-Bell as Black Canary, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Birds of Prey hits theaters on February 7th, 2020.

Full Christopher Robin Trailer Revealed

Disney has unveiled the second full trailer for its upcoming live-action Winnie the Pooh film, Christopher Robin, and it brings the feels for fans of the series. The dilm stars Ewan McGregor as the titular character, following him as an adult in 1949 where he’s been hardened by his experiences in World War II, and is now serving as the efficiency manager at a luggage company. He spends more time working than with his family, and in his time of need, he’s helped by some old friends.

With voices from Chris O’Dowd, Brad Garrett, Nick Mohammed, and Jim Cummings returning to voice Pooh, it’s set to be quite an adventure when it hits theaters on August 3rd.

First Teaser for Disney’s Christopher Robin

Disney is on a tear this week the teaser trailers! Disney’s Christopher Robin now has its official bit of footage and it’s pretty divisive, in my opinion. The film is directed by Marc Forster, and stars Ewan McGregor as an older, more cynical Christopher Robin who has long since left the Hundred-Acre Wood, but will rediscover joy as he meets up with his old pals.

Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends are rendered in realistic CGI using their stuffed toy forms, which is jarring, but the soothing nostalgic voice of Jim Cummings as Pooh certainly gave me goosebumps. Christopher Robin is set to hit theaters on August 3rd.

Obi-Wan Confirmed as Next Star Wars Standalone Film

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Lucasfilm has taken the first steps to finalize a deal with director Stephen Daldry (The ReaderThe HoursBilly Elliot) to helm an upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie centered on the fan-favorite Obi-Wan Kenobi. As the project is still in its early stages, there is no script as of yet, but if he signs, Daldry will be developing the script alongside Lucasfilm.

There’s also no news on whether longtime Obi-Wan actor, Ewan McGregor, who has expressed numerous times his interest in returning, will be back for the role.
