The first rumored promo artwork for the still-untitled Avengers 4 has leaked online, showing off a few new costumes, and new looks for the post-Infinity War team, as they prepare to face Thanos again. This may still be fan-made, but given the similarities to past artwork, it’s very likely official. The most interesting takeaways are Hulk’s new costume, Hawkeye and Ant-Man are there, with Hawkeye not yet sporting his new hair, and Captain Marvel joining the fray.
Most, however, will likely point out Captain America’s lack of his now-famous beard. Which, is simply tragic. Hopefully we’ll learn more about the film soon, as Marvel Studios has opted out of Comic-Con this year, leaving us with quite a few mysteries to unravel.
Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp started shooting several weeks ago, and now, thanks to Evangeline Lilly herself, we have our first look at the official costume of Hope Van Dyne, aka The Wasp (sans helmet). While the image doesn’t give us a complete look, we can get an idea of what to expect with her more nimble looking ensemble.
No other information is currently available, but with production in full swing, and the film set to hit theaters next year, we can expect to see more soon.
Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation was a boon for upcoming films that have yet to see much attention. Ant-Man and the Wasp, the upcoming sequel to the hit film directed by Peyton Reed has added some heavy hitters to their cast.
Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast as Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, and mother of Hope Van Dyne. Meanwhile, Laurence Fishburne has been cast as Dr. Bill Foster, who in the comics acts as an assistant to Tony Stark and Hank Pym that even gains Pym’s growing powers and becomes Goliath.
It would seem that Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp is getting a boost of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Marvel has announced that actor Randall Park (Fresh of the Boat, The Interview) has been cast as Agent Jimmy Woo in the upcoming sequel. Jimmy Woo was the first liaison to the Avengers in the comics, and served as an Agent of Atlas.
Randall Park is more known for his comedic chops, but given the first Ant-Man and its comedic backdrop, he should fit right in here. Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters on July 6, 2018.
