CinemaCon 2019 kicked off last night in Las Vegas, and DC Entertainment decided to kick things up a notch, with the reveal of two new teaser posters, and the first footage for Wonder Woman 1984, and Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn.
The Wonder Woman 1984 footage was light, but displayed Diana Prince at her full powers, as well as our first look at Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, albeit not in her Cheetah form. Meanwhile, the Birds of Prey footage revealed that Harley Quinn isn’t exactly a member of the “girl gang” as it were, but forms an alliance with the team to stop a common enemy.
You can hit the jump to check out the posters in full. Birds of Prey flies into theaters on February 7th, 2020, while Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on June 4th, 2020.
Warner Bros. has officially announced that they’re delaying Patty Jenkins’ highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 from its original release date of November 1st, 2019 to June 5th, 2020, giving it a coveted summer release date. The announcement was made by star Gal Gadot on her Twitter with the image above.
“We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did. This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”
Director Patty Jenkins took to Twitter, as she has so commonly done with this film, and shared our first look at Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) in Wonder Woman 1984. While his character remains a mystery, this at least gives us a bit of a look at what to expect from the actor.
In addition to Pascal, the cast of Wonder Woman 1984 also features Gal Gadot (Justice League), Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond), Kristen Wiig (Where’d You Go, Bernadette), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), Ravi Patel (Master of None) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers).
Director Patty Jenkins has taken to Twitter to share yet another look at the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984, this time spotlighting Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva, who will eventually become Wonder Woman’s arch-rival, Cheetah. She’s sporting some very 80’s inspired clothing, and looks fantastic, adding even more excitement to this upcoming film.
Everything we’ve seen from Wonder Woman 1984 has looked fantastic and I can’t help but be more and more excited by the changes taking place within the DC Universe.

To celebrate the start of production on Wonder Woman 1984, director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot, have both released new stills from the film, spotlighting not only its new 1980’s setting, but the return of Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine!
