Legion’s Noah Hawley Directing Star Trek 4

It’s been a roller coaster of ups and downs for Star Trek 4 as Paramount has searched for the right director to helm the film and bring it to life. After a lackluster box office showing from Star Trek Beyond, the studio has needed to shake things up a bit, and now they’ve found just the right mind.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Noah Hawley (Legion, Fargo) has signed on to direct Star Trek 4 for the studio. Mostly known for his television work, Hawley is considered one of the most underrated directors on the market, today. His unique vision looks to be perfect to bring the next film in the franchise to life.

No release date been set, of course, but Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have both been confirmed to return for Star Trek 4 as Captain James T. Kirk and Spock, respectively.
