The latest trailer for Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is now online, with the new footage revealing a key change to the story, with the older Ellie being the child resurrected, rather than the young Gage. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura explains why they made the change. “Gage is so young, you can’t really do that much with him,” he says. “So this way, we’re able to really get underneath our affected child. We’re able to get into the psychological horror of a child [coming back] because of her age.”
Pet Sematary hits theaters on April 5th. A day that’s shaping up to be quite a day for movie releases.
