It looks like Warner Bros. might be a little more invested in these DC Entertainment films than we thought, as they’re also rumored to be interested in developing Elseworlds films, as well. Superman: Red Son is an alternate-universe tale in which Superman lands is Russia, and not Smallville. Taken in by the Kremlin, he becomes a symbol of fascism in a world-ruling government.
The rumor comes from Mark Millar himself, creator of Red Son, as well as Den of Geek, who claims to have sources within WB that are supposedly seeing a lot of interest in adapting the graphic novel. It’s a rumor, for sure, but the prospect of seeing Red Son in live-action, especially in today’s turbulent times, would be a geek dream come true.
