Third-party games accessory manufacturer HORI has just unveiled their Nintendo Switch voice-chat solution, and while it looks all kinds of cool, it’s a bit clunky, to say the least. The headset has a mess of wires that require you to connect the included dongle to your Switch’s audio jack, and your smartphone’s audio jack (which many smartphones no longer have), then the dongle connects to the headset.
It’s a mess of a solution to say the least, that truthfully didn’t even take into the account the lack of 35mm support on many modern smartphones. So, I guess if you want to charge your phone, you shouldn’t also be chatting with your Splatoon buddies. Hit the jump for more shots of the headset, and a diagram of the full setup.
