Phantom Dust Releasing Free Today for Xbox & PC

Microsoft Studios has announced that they’re releasing a 4K-restoration of the cult-classic fan favorite, Phantom Dust, today on the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and PC. The kicker? The game is free. There will be paid DLC for the title that will help speed up your progress, such as giving you stronger cards early on, but that in no way affects progression in the game, naturally.

Released in 2005 in North America, the title, directed by Panzer Dragoon‘s Yukio Futatsugi, is an action card-based strategy game, that Futatsugi has stated is his favorite game he’s ever created. Check out the video above for a more in-depth look at the game, which is also a fan favorite of Microsoft’s Phil Spencer.
